Hiking Lodges in Suldal
Ever since the first English tourists came to Norway in the late 1800s, the Ryfylkeheiane highlands have attracted eager hikers and skiers.
Jelsa Church and School Museum
Jelsa church, completed in 1647, is decorated with beautiful paintings by Gottfried Hendtzschel. Further down the road you find the School Museum which was one of the first of its kind in our region.
Kolbeinstveit Museum Farm
Kolbeinstveit is a farm museum from the 1800s that welcomes visitors to its exhibitions and activities during the summer. They also serve light lunch dishes and keep animals.
Nesasjøhuset museum
The Nesasjøhuset is an old boat house that now houses the main exhibitions of the Ryfylke Museum. They also have their own museum shop.
Norway's first salmon studio
At the Salmon Studio at Sandsfossen falls, visitors may peek through two large windows into the river itself as the powerful salmon make their way upstream to spawn.
