Save the first weekend in June for Suldal's big public celebration, the festival «Ryfylkedagane», in the municipal center of Sand. This is a three-day market day with a variety of activities, concerts, and events for the whole family.

On Friday and Saturday, you can do some good shopping in the municipal center with over 80 exhibitors at the market. There are also various events and activities during this weekend, including concerts, a youth event, a fishing competition, a barbecue day, and more.

Each year, 1500 numbered rubber ducks are released down the largest river in Western Norway, Suldalslågen. The owner of the first duck to reach the finish line wins 25,000 kroner, which must be used within a certain time frame on the market day. All proceeds go to support the work of the Suldal Red Cross.
