Place to eat
Tv Haugaland and Ryfylkekokken visited various food treasures in Suldal from winter 2021 to autumn 2022, and the result has been an interesting series that gives you an insight into the many food treasures we have in our municipality.

Food taxes throughout the year

Christmas 2021 saw the start of the series about "Food taxes in Suldal" on TV Haugaland. Here you get an insight into good food traditions and products from Suldal. The series is one of several initiatives that have come about as a result of a strong collaboration between tourism and the local food producers in Suldal. The series is supported by Suldal municipality, Suldal Vekst, Suldal Næringsforening and private business.

At Christmas, the TV team visited, among others, Mo Laksegard, Hanakamneset Gard, Vikane hyttetun, Velbekomme and Bentes Himabakst. We also had local tradition bearers with us who told us about local Christmas traditions in the villages in Suldal. Everything was served from Christmas beer, outdoor pig ribs, Suldalslefse, potato cakes, Suldalsaure and horse cheese to name a few. In 2022, 8 more episodes will be made, where the theme will be food and experiences throughout the seasons. From lemming and fishing to harvesting fruit and berries and  hunting. Simultaneous nature experiences and old as well as new food traditions in Suldal
