Passion for Animals

Øyvind Hebnes and Mette Vatland run Storstova Gard located on the Ropeid Peninsula, surrounded by fjords in the far northwest of Suldal municipality. Here, they keep cattle and 7500 laying hens. The couple has a great passion for farming and ensuring good living conditions for the animals, being intimately involved in all the processes.

Farm Shop

Storstova Gard has its own farm shop located right by the farm, which is always open. In the shop, you can find everything you need of locally sourced ingredients for everyday meals, weekends, and special occasions. You can choose from eggs, vegetable and rowanberry flavored salts, and beef in the form of various cuts, ground meat, burgers, meatballs, and more. Throughout the year, you can also discover various treasures such as pickled beetroots and jams, depending on what they offer during the season.
