Local litterature and hand made products in this renovated boat house by the fjord.

Ryfylkemuseet's main seat is in Nordenden in the center of Sand in Nesasjøhuset, which is a restored boat house. The premises are beautiful and inviting and reflect the beach town's long history, while the fjord lapping against the window. Here you can secure a variety of local literature with village books, theme books and much more, many of which have been produced by the staff at the house. In the shop you will also find various local products and crafts.

There are options for coffee and waffles in the museum's cafe, and on the second and third floor you can explore exhibitions about the local environment and the children's exhibition The White Bear, which is based on a fairy tale by local author Rasmus Løland.

Ryfylkemuseet is an environmental lighthouse.
