Entering through the doors at Mo Laksegard is like entering into a British salmon castle; classic furniture, a picture of a happy fisher with a record-breaking salmon in his lap is adorned on the wall along with a picture of HM King Olav when he was visiting Suldal. In the bar you sit below a glass ceiling and can look right at the popular pool which is used as a training pool for those who are to embark on the salmon safari, but also as a regular pool when the temperatures are high.
At Mo Laksegard you can experience the farmed Salmo river, Suldalslågen, and the salmon up close. The company offers accommodation, food serving, and activities such as whitewater rafting and salmon safari. Salmon safari is a unique offer, where you get to float down the river while equipped with a drysuit, diving mask and snorkel in order to explore the life in Suldalslågen; it is a magical experience to see the big salmon at close hold. They also sell fishing cards.
Local food is a quality stamp at Mo Laksegard, where they for example get forest pig from their next-door neighbor. Short distances between quality local foods give good results in the kitchen where tasty dishes are prepared. The company brew their own beer which you can buy in the bar. The different types of beer have, of course, been given local names such as Mørk Suldal (Dark Suldal) and Glad Laks (Happy Salmon). In addition, they offer beer tasting and tours in the brewery as an activity.
