Modern hotel in historic beach town

Jelsa hotel will open in spring 2022, and is centrally located in what is the best-preserved beach town in Ryfylke: Jelsa. The hotel has modern facilities and local elements, with a fantastic view of the beach town and the surrounding fjord kingdom. The hotel is equipped with double rooms, twin rooms, junior suites and universal rooms. Jelsa hotel also offers meeting rooms.

 

Starting point for great experiences

The area offers a number of great activities on land and on the water. Here you can explore beautiful hiking trails, hire a boat, get a guided paddle trip in the Økstrafjorden, visit orchards and get a tour of the beach town with a trip to Jelsa church and the school museum. Jelsa church from the 17th century is one of the finest cultural monuments in the region.

 

A range of experiences at the doorstep

Jelsa is the best-preserved fjord village in the Ryfylke region, with its charming wooden tree houses close to the water. Whilst staying at Jelsa Hotell you can explore everything the region has to offer, with beautiful hiking trails, guided paddling tours to nearby fjord, a visit to the fruit farm or wine yards in the area or rent a boat to take a day on the fjord. A highlight is a guided tour in the village of Jelsa with a visit to the historical church of Jelsa where the ceiling covered with hand-painted stars. Make sure you also not miss the school museum of Ryfylkemuseet, which was one of the first schools of its time on the countryside of Norway!
