Jelsa Hotell opened its doors for the first time in 2021, bringing a new tourist destination to the village of Jelsa. The hotel has modern facilities offering double rooms, twin rooms and juniors suites.They also have rooms suited people in wheelchair. The hotel is also a good location for events and seminar with their own conference room.
At their restaurant you can indulge in a delicious menu based on local products from the farms in Suldal and Ryfylke. Jelsa is the best-preserved fjord village in the Ryfylke region, with its charming wooden tree houses close to the water. Whilst staying at Jelsa Hotell you can explore everything the region has to offer, with beautiful hiking trails, guided paddling tours to nearby fjord, a visit to the fruit farm or wine yards in the area or rent a boat to take a day on the fjord. A highlight is a guided tour in the village of Jelsa with a visit to the historical church of Jelsa where the ceiling covered with hand-painted stars. Make sure you also not miss the school museum of Ryfylkemuseet, which was one of the first schools of its time on the countryside of Norway!
