Salmon Safari: Float down the Suldalslågen river!

Waterfall/river
Fishing
Mountains
Swimming
Eco-lighthouse

Wearing a dry suit, snorkel and mask, you float freely with the current in Suldalslågen on a salmon safari with Mo Laksegard. Some places are so shallow that it feels like you have to pinch your stomach in order not to scrape against the flat stones on the river bed, in other places you pass holes more than 12 m deep.

This is a nature adventure of a different kind. A salmon darts past, another stands and rods against the current. The vegetation under the water changes between green water plants, fine sand and light, smooth stones. A guide floats with the group in the water, a guide follows the group in a canoe.

You must be at least 14 years old, able to sew and not have epilepsy or other diseases caused by cold or stress. Put on warm, good underwear. You will be given the rest of your clothes, such as a dry suit, shoes and diving mask. The trip takes approximately 2.5 hours.

In the summer season, Mo Laksegard has regular tours on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Out of season, they offer salmon safaris for groups of over six people. You can find more information at molaks.no.
