In clear weather, a magnificent view awaits you from this summit!
Reinsnuten (1144 m) is the highest mountaintop near Mosvatnet lake. The hike up is demanding but well worth it. From the summit you have an unobstructed 360-degree view of fjords and mountains. The start of this hike is the same as the loop walk around Skuteheia. Take the road to Stavastølen, then follow the sign signs southwards to Reinsstølen. A long uphill walk takes you to Bråtane, where the trail turns towards Bergjordsholet. This is where the serious climb starts – and the last kilometre before you reach the summit is very steep. Take the same route for your return trip.
