The old facilities at Kvednahola are good examples of the pre-industrial use of water power.

The farms of Ritland, Vasshus and Førland milled their grain at Kvednahola. In addition to two mills, a grain drier and a water-driven sash-saw has been preserved, as well as the old flumes.
