Culture attractions

Amany-faceted cultural life has long traditions in Suldal. Ryfylke Museum’s numerous facilities offer fascinating insights into the area’s agrarian history and heritage. A good example is Kolbeinstveit, a farmstead that includes
Guggedalsloftet, the oldest secular wooden building in Rogaland county. More recent buildings of note include the offices of Røldal Suldal Kraft, designed by Geir Grung. Modern facilities along the National Tourist Route Ryfylke have highlighted innovative architecture, including Høsebrua at Sandsfossen falls, which in 2014 was named Bridge of the Year by Travel & Leisure magazine.
