Suldal has mountain lakes as well as lowland lakes inviting anglers to test their luck.

The Mosvatnet lake is readily accessible, the Blåsjø reservoir offers exciting fishing, and you can combine hiking and fishing in the public lands of Suldal Statsallmenning. Suldalsvatnet is known for its large trout, where a lucky fisherman caught an 11-kilo fish in 1996. Other recommended lakes include Sandsavatnet, the lakes and tarns of Nedre Moen and Napen, and the Kvanndalen-Bleskestad area.

Before you can fish you must have purchased a fishing license for the water / area concerned. You can do this at www.inatur.no. A member of the Stavanger Tourist Association can fish along their routes.

For more information on purchasing a fishing license, contact Suldal Tourist Office.

Sand Sport have a good selection of equipment for fishing, hunting and outdoor activities.

Suldal Tourist Information has fishing rods for hire.
